Here’s why I wrote this little book of love poems.
What I have wanted most in this life is a love that will never leave. And I realized that maybe I hadn’t met with a love like that outside of me, in someone else, because I hadn’t met an unfaltering love from within me. So I decided I would retreat for 40 days with my red pen to try to tether together the small-ego-everyday-me to the me that’s a lighthouse-type-of-soul, the me that’s just undiluted love. I wanted to anchor once and for all into the love that’s within me, to a love that could never leave because it’s the truth of who I am. Whether I’m with a partner or alone, I wanted to feel free- entirely my own- an Ouroboros whose love circles back into herself.
A smart, hip guide for spiritual seekers who want to experience more love and stability in all forms of relationships. Told from the unique vantage points of authors Meggan Watterson and Lodro Rinzler, this book explores staying anchored in the foundation of self-love as you navigate the natural (and often stormy) cycle of a relationship.
"The great thing about Lodro and Meggan writing a book about love is that you get perspectives from both a down to earth Buddhist dude, and a hot female mystic -- AND! double the jokes and love stories. The result is a lot of true and modern wisdom on how to expand your capacity to love -- in suffering, in sex, in separation, in spirit, in your very real life that could always be filled with more love."
- Danielle LaPorte, author of The Desire Map and The Fire Starter Sessions
"How to Love Yourself is one of the best books I've read on the topic of relationships. This book translates life-changing spiritual principles in a hip and relevant way. Meggan and Lodro offer the most treasured gift; a pathway to learn to love yourself no matter what. I recommend this book to anyone ready to give, receive and embody love."
- Gabrielle Bernstein, New York Times best-selling author of Miracles Now
I refer to this book as “a sacred manual” because it contains what I have spent nearly two decades searching for: the sacred texts and spiritual voices of women. Discovering these stories, texts, and spiritual voices of the Divine Feminine helped me to reveal my own spiritual voice. I have found what I set out to know: a direct experience of the Divine.
“Reveal is one of the most uplifting, honest, exhilarating books I have ever read. I devoured every page of this beautifully written life-changing work. It speaks to the Divine embodied soul of every woman and leaves you as refreshed as a spring rain in the desert.”
— Christiane Northrup, M.D., OB/GYN physician and New York Times best- selling author of Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom and The Wisdom of Menopause
“Reveal is a healing, a retelling, a remembering. The words fly like ignited prayer from the heart of Meggan Watterson. This book is a passionate calling to mend the desecrating separation between body and soul and make the world whole.”
— Eve Ensler, founder of V-Day and New York Times best-selling author of The Vagina Monologues and I Am an Emotional Creature
